Facilligence, LLC, was founded in 2008 to consolidate CMMS/EAM software products and services previously supplied by Aleier, a major CMMS vendor. Facilligence is an independent company allied with MicroMain Corporation, which has been providing maintenance management solutions since 1991.
Aleier applications are currently in use at many very large organizations. These include:
- The largest healthcare organization in Canada
- The largest correctional organization in the U.S
- The largest community college district in the U.S.
- The 2nd largest municipality in the U.S.
Facilligence's predecessor has been around since the mid-1980s when GTE developed software to address its internal maintenance management issues. By the late 1980s, GTE began selling the DOS-based software to others. In 1994, a Windows version was introduced to the marketplace. In 1996, the ability to connect to Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases expanded the software’s capacity to handle large amounts of data. In 1998, this software became one of the first CMMS products to offer a web-based request application. Web-based functionality was quickly expanded and by 1999, the entire program had been re-written as an ASP web-based program.
In the past few years, the software has grown from a CMMS product to a full featured Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System with the addition of many new modules and features.
